Fire Sprinkler Fitter

Responsibilities:
arrive promptly for work at any number of sites across the Chicagoland area
be flexible on schedule (evening and weekend work will sometimes be required)
read and install residential and commercial systems according to prints
Coordinate with other trades and construction schedules
interpret and apply NFPA codes
train apprentices in trade skills and company policies
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience as a fire sprinkler fitter
Ability to read complex building plans and install systems with minimal supervision
Strong work ethic
Eagerness to teach and lead by example, as well as to learn new skills and new technology
Excellent communication, team work and time management skills
Basic computer skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to/from the job site
Your own hand tools and PPE (we will supply all power tools and pipe machine)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of Fire Protection contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing outlined marketing strategies.
Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company offerings.
Close sufficient sales to exceed sales plan objectives.
Familiar with reading blueprints, understanding current NFPA 13, 14, and 20 standards, and local codes.
Develop a positive ongoing relationship with existing and new customers, general contractors, and end users.
Estimate small projects, including fixed price service as required, in addition to large projects ranging from $100k-$1MM+.
Ability to build new business associations/relationships and grow the Fire Protection Business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
2 years of sales experience in the fire protection industry is preferred.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
Proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Technical knowledge of sprinkler systems preferred.
Exceptional presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and organize work.
Proficient in the use of personal computers, include operating systems such as Windows / Microsoft Office

As an Engineering Technician at ISAK Fire Protection Inc. you will be primarily responsible for the preparation of design and fabrication drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material submittals. In addition, you will be responsible for the delivery of project documents to the respective reviewing authority and ensuring all concerns are addressed through approval. Upon project completion you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of close out documents to the general contractor and/or end user.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project management from award through completion including requesting the appropriate files, submitting Requests for Information, and identifying any changes between bid documents and contract documents.
Preparation of design documents and product submittals.
Participate in the coordination process with the design team.
Preparation of installation plans and documentation for purchasing.
Delivering submittal packages to the authority having jurisdiction and addressing all plan check comments to ensure final approval.
Collaborate with installation staff, other project managers, sales staff, and management to increase efficiency and profitability.
Continually visit job sites and monitor progress, offer support to field staff, and analyze design for efficiency and ease of installation.
Attend project meetings as required.
Represent IFP and its affiliates as deemed necessary.
